Our set of three course sessions are designed to support teachers in understanding the philosophy, context and application of Education Through Music song, play and philosophy (why we do, what we do in the way we do it). Each course is designed to be attended with full participation at all sessions in order for the studier to get the full understanding of Education Through Music materials and practice. A course year consists of 30 hours of study which includes three sessions broken up over the school year.
Courses include the philosophy and materials of Education Through Music in working with all ages of children. We focus on multiple areas of development which include but are not limited to the child’s social-emotional, musical, language, intellectual, and movement and auditory areas.
Contact Marie Butler at marie@richardsinsitute.org with any questions about course registration. University Credit Hours (3 units) is available for an additional fee from CSU-Bakersfield.
